At quite an early age he discovered techno and later house music and since he already played the keys, guitar, and flute it was a natural development for him to start producing dance music on his computer. He also got himself a pair of turntables and started to hunt down records. However at the time Martin was too young to attend the clubs so instead he arranged his own house parties on the beach, often with himself as DJ. Some years later via a demo tape, Martin got a chance to develop his producer skills in the Wrong Steps studio in Stockholm, where he co-produced some of his own tracks together with French producer Manuel Perez. Since he still went to school at this time his studio time was restricted to holidays. However one of these early tracks later appeared as "Late Night Groove", Martin's debut twelve inch on Swedish label Deeplay Music. In 2000 Martinez moved from the small Swedish town to the much more open music climate of the Danish capital Copenhagen. This enabled him to put even more time and energy into his music productions and not long after he landed a record deal with the well reputed Guidance label in Chicago. First out was the "Laidback Grooves EP" with its mix of deephouse and broken beats and since then he has released three further twelve inches on the label. Martinez also did some wonderful remixes for the Physics duo on the same label. Especially his "Aquarium Jazz Dub Mix" on "Don't Deny Me Love" was a favourite with clubbers, DJs, and reviewers around the world. Other remix work since then has included Danish pop/house act Filur, Dalminjo, Silicone Soul, The Beard, Nathan Fake, Underworld, Duplex100, Jussi Pekka, Sono and Spiro Projecto. In the middle of 2003 Martinez felt a stronger passion for the more techier and experimental sounds of house musie and started to work more with samples and electro-based sounds as well as introducing something that he called "Cosmic House" - a spacey house sound with a mixture of tech, atmosphere and colourful melodies. Soon after, Martinez got a call from Steve Bug about a release on Bug's Deep House imprint, Dessous Recordings. That call resulted in the massive "Skywalker EP" and exposed a whole other musical side of Martinez which was edgier and more twisted - the more the better! Martinez then launched his own label, Out of Orbit Recordings, on which he has already released three of his own EPs as well as 12 inches from Trentemøller ("Beta Boy"), Zvukbroda and Jussi Pekka. Martinez has also had two tracks signed to the well reputed Get Physical label out of Berlin and Steve Bug's Audiomatique ("Shadowboxing") and will shortly release his first mix compilation on Audiomatique in early 2006.
