Bastardcu*t Intro: Bastardcu*t (AKA Mike Hunt/Monsieur Fanny Batard) first appeared as a resident DJ at Liverpool's monthly Crack Zombie nights in 2004, which showcased underground alternative acts from across the UK and beyond, with a music policy of "everything scummy." Having produced his own music with a noisy, lo-fi edge for several years prior to this, Crack Zombie & the Smack Witch after-parties began to inspire and shape the tracks that Bastardcu*t would make for the next few years.
2006 saw Bastardcu*t play his first handful of shows performing his own material live, including a performance for Liverpool Music Week to an absolutely packed Bar Fresa warming up for DJ Scotch Egg.
Thanks to a tiny number of open-minded venues and promoters with good taste and integrity, Bastardcu*t has been allowed to evolve since the demise of Crack Zombie in 2007 & has continued to produce & perform his music, now with an ever harder edge, and you can hear him DJ on the last Friday of every month at www.salvagedigital.com
