Originally from Newcastle, Wandy bought his first set of decks 7 years ago while a student in Liverpool, and started out by playing at the usual round of bars and house parties. His first break came in Feb 2000 when he was introduced to Will, Damo and Charlene, as they wanted a house DJ to play at a club night they were starting. The night went ahead in March and Chibuku Shake Shake was born, with Wandy being made resident on the strength of his set.

Chibuku became a monthly event, with Wandy gracing those now legendary decks. After a summer break in which he warmed up for the mighty Yousef at Cream, Chibuku started back in September, and Wandy made full use of his monthly slot to hone his boompty house sound. This experience proved invaluable to his development and as the club continued to grow so did the profile of Wandy's sets, garnering plaudits from all corners.

Fast forward three years and Wandy is still an integral part of Chibuku. He has now warmed up for Cassius, Groove Armada, Yousef, DJ Falcon, Lottie, Radio Slave, Greenskeepers, Paul Woolford, Nic Fanciulli, Miles Holloway, Tula and Dave Beer.

Now based in London, he DJ's at and promotes Chibuku's weekly night at The Social W1, while continuing his monthly residency at Chibuku in Liverpool. He also presents the Chibuku radio show on Ministry of Sound Radio and works in the Club Promotion department of Rocketscience Media.

As well as his involvement with Chibuku, his skills have also been recognised by the Bugged Out crew, who after seeing him play at a party booked him to play at their night at The End in September 2003. The set went so well that he has played for them four times since - at Sankeys Soap in October and at The End in November, January and May.

All of this has not gone unnoticed by the media. After articles in IDJ and Muzik, Mixmag have jumped in and signed him up as part of their 'Future Heroes' campaign, and featured him in their November, December and January issues, describing him as "a legend in the making". Radio 1's Pete Tong even went so far as to say that "Nic Fanciulli, Louis Edwards, Tom Neville and Wandy have emerged as house music's answer to the Rat Pack" (Mixmag, Jan 04). He also went on to say " Nic and Tom have already had their tracks played on my Radio One Show and Wandy and Louis will hopefully join them in 2004". Thankfully Wandy has made his first steps into production and is working on his first tracks. Offers like that cannot be refused!
