Adam B Intro:
Adam B has been DJing for the past 4 and a half years. He has a passion for quality house music, which is shown in the many mix cd's that he sends out on a regular basis to magazines and clubs worldwide. As well as trying to make his mark in the DJing world, he also intends to make it as a producer, he knows this will take time but he has the perseverance to hopefully achieve this.

He got his first taste of dance music when The Prodigy released the album " The Prodigy Experience", this then lead on to Adam becoming a fan of such acts as The Chemical Brothers, The Grid and Massive Attack, but it was Carl Cox's legendary Space Essential Mix set that he heard in the late of 97 that made him purchase his first pair of Technics 1200's.

Over the years Adam has tried to create his own unique style as a DJ, not just the tracks he chooses but the way he arranges them and mixes them, after years of hard work he feels that he has now achieved this

Even though I-DJ and Muzik magazine's have branded his style as deep house he hates being put into a category of house style, "if it's good I will play it house, deep house whatever"

In the summer of 2000 after deciding that they were all good enough to play out to an audience, Adam B, Tom Golden and Nathan Landry started their own night up called Homegrown in their hometown of Northwich in Cheshire. The opening night was a huge success and the lads were really pleased with the result after all the hard work and effort they had put into it, unfortunately all of them being students they didn't have the capital to continue the night to the standard that they had set. So the Homegrown night was put on the backburner for a while.

After the success of Homegrown local nights Addiction and Rise approached Adam to become there back room resident (alongside Tom) which he dully accepted and. His first big breakthrough came for him when his mix cd "Expression through Sound" won a DJ comp ran by Mixmag and Levi's and judged by Tom Stephan. This led to Adam playing on the Levi's house party tour alongside Tom Stephan; the highlight of this tour was playing alongside Tom Stephan at Sankey's Soap in Manchester in November 2001.

At the start of 2002 Adam B won the Top Tape award in I-DJ Magazine , this led onto many more gigs that year and him becoming a regular at Peg in London, Club North in Manchester and new house night Mind, Body and Soul, Cheshire. Also that year Adam played on Andy Price's radio show "Back to our House" on Manchester's Key 103 Radio, London based Groovetech radio (www.groovetech.com), Housewerk on Loughborough based radio LCR1350, Fluff @ Club North in Manchester and still playing his regular slots at local nights Rise and Addiction.

At the start of 2003 Adam B won Muzik Magazine's Bedroom Bedlam with his cd "The Art of Expression" which he is very pleased to have won seeing as people like Yousef, James Zabelia and Jay Cunning have all won this accolade. Adam hopes that this will open a new window for him and help him progress with his DJing carer

On the production side of things Adam has completed two Ep's alongside Nathan Landry, the first entitled Hot Diggidy Ep and the second Tranz Atlantic Ep, both Ep's are up for signing so you may see the Ep's in 12 inch format hopefully soon.
