Name: Fitzy Love Music Style: House, DnB, Soul Outlar-Listed Events: 21 Outlar Cross-references: Futurebound, DJ Sneak, Goldie, Lottie, Frankie Knuckles, Andy C, Dj Hype, Grooverider, Cream, Richie Robinson Fitzy Love Intro: Fitzy's music adventure started in 1988 as a 13 yr old apprentice in a local reggae sound system" 1 a penny sound " in Liverpool. After completing a 3 yr apprenticeship with the sound system and around about the time Jungle was new and very reggae influenced, Fitz decided to take another step forward and started to pioneer jungle nights in Liverpool, going on to work with artists such as Goldie, Grooverider, Andy C, Dj Hype along side partner Futurebound, which included a monthly residency at Cream. In 1997 Fitz was getting very interested in the U.S House scene after being introduced to House pioneers Doc Martin & DJ Sneak by house duo Desert. "when Doc & Sneak hit town they liked to party like myself so after their sets @ Cream it was back to Paul's place were I met the guys. After a night of antics and serious Bud smoking, Sneak passed me one of his mix tapes that just blew me away, so you could say sneak got me into house even though I loved the early basement boys and Frankie Knuckles stuff". Fitzy started recording in 1999 featuring on a track by Lil Devious called Bounce, which was a ragga fused electro bass track released on Airplane/Lowered recordings. His second and third release with house duo Desert on the future groove imprint, "I see the light & letting your mind go" were underground successes, being nominated for best underground single @ WMC and landing a number one slot on the dance billboard chart and included mixers by Doc Martin and Dj Lottie. 2003 was a massive year for Fitz hitting number 7 in the U.K charts and top 10 in 4 other country's with Indian house fused hit single and award winning "husan" by Bhangra knights. For the last two years with Bhangra knights, Fitzy has been touring worldwide and has appeared on T.V shows, Top of the pops, Pop world, G.M.T.V and SKY. In between touring, Fitzy has been concentrating on production and has been in the studio working on a number of projects. Not one to be pigeon holed and having vast experience of different styles of music, he has hooked up with musicians and producers from all genres. Such as soul house, reggae, Nu jazz, Trip hop & Nu soul, with a release coming out on good friend George Evelyn's (Nightmares on wax) imprint "what's on next" in the summer with " The Snappertronics". Also Fitz is working hard in the studio on an album for his other project "RED EYE MASSIVE" which is scheduled for release in 2006 on "what's on next" imprint… So keep those eyes and ears peeled!
