Ian Thomas Intro:
Ian's story began in 1996 at the age of 16, when he fell in love with progressive trance. With Cream only being 20 minutes away from his home and Paul Oakenfold legendary residency at Cream, Ian became hooked on the clubbing scene. Since then, Cream has closed its doors and Paul Oakenfold has turned into just a magical memory for Ian. He has now moved more into more energetic trance, with such influences as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and Tiësto at such clubs as Gatecrasher, Godskitchen and Passion.

Ian started dj'ing in the summer of 2000, where he bought his first pair of decks (Citronic's PD1's), and found himself trying to create the same sounds as his past and present hero's. A year later he then sold his Citronic's and upgraded them with his beloved Technic's 1210's, Pioneer CDJ-800 CD Deck and Vestax Mixer, and has found himself playing hour after hour to create a new sound of his own.

After much hard work and dedication with the use of both vinyl and CD's , Ian got his first gig at BPM Radio in Birmingham, and after a nervous hour and a half set, Ian came through and was offered a monthly residency soon after by St John (John Sims).

Soon after, Ian was invited by St John to also play at a club called M.O.Tion in Nottingham , which involved a back-to-back set with John Wright, which was an overwhelming success, and was a night that Ian would never forget. Since then, Ian has now become another resident at a night called Ultra Violet @ Fort Perch Rock on the Wirral, and has become a popular favourite with the crowd and U.V's followers.

Ian's greatest achievement in his career was winning the Generate DJ Competition @ The Masque Theatre (Liverpool). Ian entered the competition alongside many other hopefuls and was pleased to learn that he has made the final. In the final, Ian played against 7 other DJ's and ended up winning the competition, earning himself a set alongside Agnelli and Nelson. Both nights where a great success for Ian and will be remembered by him for the rest of his life. One of Ian's biggest attributes is his interaction with the crowd, and with his tune selection and technical ability, he has the ability to play the perfect set for the perfect time.

In the future, Ian is looking to set up his own night, with fellow Dj, John Wright which will be called E-Block (Liverpool). Ian is also looking to play at some of the best venues and nights in the country, and establish himself as a reliable and exciting Dj, who has the desire to succeed in the Dj industry. Also in the future, Ian is interested in trying to follow in the footsteps of many of his peers such as St John, Will Holland and Jon O'Bir with a musical production of his own. From starting clubbing in 1996 till the present day and beyond, Ian has an acquired a very distinctive love for music and also has a very crucial philosophy. "Its not about the money, it's about the music".
