DJ Neptizzle is a scientist when it comes to Afrobeats music. He academically understands the genre, but artistically and soulfully delivers its essence through the medium of his turntables. He cleverly engineers the Afrobeats sound to thrill even the stuffiest of audiences and has done so in clubs around the world. Born to Vietnamese parents and raised in Hackney, DJ Neptizzle, aka Michael Hung Nguyen, started his life on decks playing grime and hip-hop and has graduated from home based DJ into a global front man of the Afrobeats genre. Inspired by the old guards of Afrobeat DJs such as DJ Edu from 1xtra as well as French Kiss (the first Afrobeat DJ to play Afrobeats on Kiss FM) Neptizzle quit his part time job as a sales assistant to take up a DJing career full time and hasn't looked back. 2011 is the year he went live with his Ultimate Afrobeats show on Ustream giving Afro beat lovers hits to listen to on a weekly basis. Soon after he was booked as as guest DJ for UK rapper SWAY's launch party in conjunction with METRO LIVE. But it dosn't stop there. Supported by Adidas and being a guest DJ on DJ Edu's Destination Africa show on BBC1 Xtra meant it was only a matter of time before major events and organisations such as Coko Bar for the Wizkid tour and Africa Unplugged and Africa Utopia brought him on bored to play his upbeat take on the exciting genre. DJ Neptizzle continues to leave an everlasting impression wherever he goes. With an aim to continue to push the Afrobeats genre into the mainstream and to break barriers by changing the way people think about African music, DJ Neptizzle brings the best beats to clubs all over the world from and this is just the beginning.
