Fergie Intro:
You think you know Fergie. You might know him as the international DJ that consistently rocks the world best clubs, Belfast's Shine, Glasgow's Arches and Ibiza's Privilege among them. Or the producer of stunningly good techno that has seen bona fide scene legends like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier and Ben Sims smash floors all over with his tunes. But then he's also the man whose Excentric project has revamped clubland on three different levels; pushing new talent, putting on events and releasing exciting music. Fergie is nothing if not busy.

In 2008 Fergie is primed to lead into the most productive stage of his career. Regularly playing at clubs such as Firefly, Shine, The Stiff Kitten and Colours, he maintains an intense international pedigree which has seen two appearances at the groundbreaking Sonar Festival, Brazil's epic Skolbeats soiree, shows for Meganite in Ibiza and Italy, the Berlin Love Parade and a relentless touring schedule. Today he is free to play how he wants and is not held back by perceptions and tags from the past. On the CDJ 1000s, armed with Serato Scratch and his trusty Mac, the EFX 1000 unit and tracks edited using Ableton Live; he is in full control of every beat he plays. Fergie has never had a stronger and more vibrant aural identity.

And now with his Excentric concept he is also in full control of his future. The 3 piece project incorporates a record label, a club night and an artist agency. The Artists Agency has been developed as a platform for emerging talent to get heard, a tradition dear to Fergie's heart after his much famed exposure through the mentorship of the late great Tony De Vit. This dedication is mirrored by the Excentric Club Night. Regularly held in London (The Key), Birmingham (now at the Custard Factory), Scotland (The Ice Factory) and Ibiza (Kanya), guests at Excentric to date have included Slam, Phil Kieran, Gregor Tresher, Anderson Noise, Kevin Gorman and Tom Pooks. The Ibiza night proved to be one of the island's success stories in 2007, a pattern of progress he aims to mirror in this country as the Ice Factory goes bi-monthly and the dates pile up in the other cities.

Finally there is the Record Label - Fergie launched Excentric Muzik to be able to fully translate his passion and ideas into his own productions alongside Dave Robertson. Initially a physical and digital label, the releases have showcased the powerful electronic sound of Fergie's sets. Further collaborations with Gregor Tresher and some studio time with Silicone Soul all promise further gems. As does his new track for German powerhouse Great Stuff, included on an album which sees producers from all over the world showcasing their Nation... Fergie proudly flying the flag for Ireland. His remix of King Unique's forthcoming `Heincode' is nothing short of sensational, and it's easy to see why Laurent Garnier has cained it across the globe and his productions are constantly in the top parts of the Beatport and techno charts (his last three hitting 6th, 17th and 23rd).

He has become a global representative for electronic music by consistently breaking down underground barriers and bringing new music to the people, without compromise. He has never forgotten that it's still just a disco, a place where people are trying to escape the realities of urban life each and every weekend. A proven forward thinker, a trend setter not a band wagon jumper, Fergie has become a master of evolving his sound to keep one step ahead of the rest.

Constantly developing and never standing still ...... for Fergie this is a way of life.
