Carlo began Djing over 9 years ago in 1995 with his first residency at the infamous 'Nice' in Newcastle. During the 12 months Carlo was in the North East, he played alongside some of the biggest DJ's in the country. After the short spell in Newcastle, Carlo then moved to Leeds, which has been his home ever since. Within months of arriving in Leeds, Carlo was booked to play at 'Speed Queen'. The bookings kept coming and Carlo gained a residency at the club, which lasted for over 5 years.

Carlo plays on a regular basis up and down the country at some of the UK's finest clubs, with guest spots at The Sugarshack; Middlesbrough, Hidden; Birmingham and The Paradise Factory; Manchester to name but a few. Throughout his 9 years of Djing, Carlo has built up an impressive resume. Over the years Carlo's musical taste has become very extensive, with main influences coming from people like Derrick Carter, Jay-J, Mark Farina, Inland Knights.

During his career as a DJ, Carlo has completed a Multi Media degree from Leeds Metropolitan University. Specialising in music production, he has taken his knowledge into the studio. Working alongside Ewan Mitchell, he has produced a number of tracks, one of which is happily doing the rounds in the Leeds Club/Bar circuit.

In addition to Djing for various promoters, Carlo had always promoted his own nights; the first of these was 'Play Your Cards Right' in Birmingham way back in 1995. His current night, 'hunky dory' started life as a monthly Friday event at Bar Phono, Leeds in March 2001. Carlo and his co-promoter, Claire Jagger, aimed to provide an inexpensive Friday night out with quality music and a 'house party' feel. After six months, they decided to change direction and host regular one off themed events. The first was a boat party, sailing along the river in Stockton. The day was a resounding success and a second boat party soon followed in November, sailing from the picturesque city of Durham. This was even more successful and ensured that by the time subsequent boat parties came around, demand for tickets was massive. Each time, demand for tickets has been higher and higher.

Carlo and 'hunky dory' are now into their 3rd year and are on course for even more success. A new monthly night will be staring early 2005 with some good guests to look forward to. Several more boat parties are also planned, a castle party and a host of other themed parties planned for 2004/2005, so things are looking exciting. A record label is also planned for early 2005.
