On a mission to spread the party vibe, stupid club names and decidedly improper house music, Rooty is the club that spawned the second Basement Jaxx album - of the same name, stupid - and still irregularly packs in 600 smiling party people to the Telegraph pub on South London's largely unlovely Brixton Hill without recourse to anything so vulgar as a flier.

Now the Jaxx's fellow Rooty founders and residents TAYO and FRANK TOPE are taking their show - stopping anarcho-house tag team on the road to spread the vibe and find some like-minded dancefloors . We Love Sundays in Space and Liverpool's Chibuku Shake Shake have already felt the force of their seamless segue of Sneak beats and dirty tribal rhythms with the obligatory hands-in-the-air Prince moment . Together the Rooty Soundsystem stands not for clubs but for proper parties, for badly painted banners, smiling faces, setting out to prove soulful doesn't necessarily mean boring, reclaiming house music from the dads and generally keeping it rude and improper all the way.
