Slum Science consists of three long term friends from Huddersfield in Danny White, Rucky and Eddie Leader. Danny first met Eddie in 1993, and took him to clubs such as Back to Basics and Hard Times in Leeds, Where they first head dj's such as Derrick Carter, Todd Terry and Ralph Lawson to name but a few. It was at these haunts where they met fellow Slum Science dj Rucky. The three formed a partnership known as Slum Science and started spinning at clubs throughout the North of England on 4 decks and 2 mixers. They have held down residencies at Central, Temptation, and Nightlife, and have guested at nights such as Love to Be, Sweet Dreams, Club non, Change, Fluid, and Bodytonic in Dublin to name a few, as well as a summer residency at the River Club in Cyprus.

The transition into production soon followed, releasing the kind of house music which drew them to the underground house scene back in the day, taking influence from the likes of Gene Faris, Tedd Patterson, Spencer Kinsey, Freaks and DJ Sneak. Their first release on Resident Records received support from Chicago's Justin Long and Dj Heather amongst others. Their tracks can be anything from deep and jazzy, to jackin house.
