Orphaned at birth, Julio & Fernando were raised by bull fighters in the deepest depths of Spain. Deciding that bull fighting wasn't the way forward for them and an unexplainable fear of red rags they went there separate ways during their teenage years. Julio ended in up in France where he took a job as a wedding singer and spinning some tunes. This career was nearly cut short though when he was called up for the French army, but not letting this get in his way, he managed to wrangle himself on to Army radio and entertained the troops with his fusion of funky french house and deep grooves. After being reprimanded for using army radio for something other than communication on the field of battle, he was discharged and sent to England.

Fernando ended up in sunny Birmingham where he took a job as a fishmonger. Realizing the uncanny link between smelly fish and a lack of girlfriends, he used the power of the decks instead to woo young dames. Oh and to make people dance too...

Through powers and forces unknown, the pair later met up and together they formed The Fake DJ's.
