Everything from weird, wonderfull and beautifull to god damn disturbing is in her stable of provokative work. Coming from a four year media background in music promos documentary and film, and her original career as a dancer with almost all of the 'rave' events you could probably mention, Firebaby's visual delivery style is a fusion of her understanding of the moments and musics ambience within the framework of her more disciplined 'story telling' skills she gained through her media background. "My love of music and delivering in that kind of environment as a dancer has transcended through to my visual work. it was a natural progression to use my art as a delivery tool in that environment, drawing out the high and low points not only in the music but in the language of the club environment itself. I like to fuse that with the story telling elements of film making and hopefully give a visual performance which acts as more of a visual journey. But even if you dont follow that whole journey, the visual will always make sense to that point in time and music." As well as delivering the eyecandy for various club nights, Firebaby has been working with Liverpool electronica act Otaku No Denki ( www.otakunodenki.co.uk) to form live AV performance pieces. www.vj-culture.org is her latest joint venture in the making, created as a platform for local VJ enthusiasts and multi media artists to link up through and share knowledge and inspiration. The sites quarterly touring supporting night (which is there to provide VJ's of any level a live practice n jamm space) ' Qualatronic' successfully launched on 3rd Dec 2005.Footage of this event will soon be available to view at www.vj-culture.org.
