The Groove Allegiance is made up of Jonny Strinati and Chris Hughes, also known for running Splank! Records, they like their breaks and they like em funky.

As releases from the like of Myagi, Simon Paul, Sgt. Rock and The Groove Allegiance themselves suggest, they are on a mission to spread the funkalicious groove disease known as p-funk breaks to the masses.

Enjoying their debut release earlier this year in the form of `Hunkle My Funkle/System 100', which gained support from the like of the Drumattic Twins, Superstyle Deluxe and getting plays on Annie Nightingale's Radio 1 show, this was followed up with 'Beats `n' Bobs' which came out via the iBreaks label. Remixes are also penned on Splank! with their take on B Phreak's `Break Ya Self' as well as a rework of Digital Base's – `What Comes Out Of Inside My…' forthcoming on Vive Music.

Their approach to production takes on many forms and demonstrates their many different influences, big fat beats, grainy synths and their trademark guitar edits played in by Chris – the Groove Allegiance live set-up re-creates this vibe with Jonny on the decks whilst Chris plugs his guitar in and well and truly funks things out.
