Simon Baker has been playing records for over 15 years, professionally since 2001. A versatile and passionate DJ, he doesn't like pigeon holing his style, as he is a firm believer if its fuc*ing good. Play it!! If he was forced at gunpoint though...he would say something like Tech house, deep electronic blippyness , electrodisco....... with a twist of Techno for good measure! 2006 couldn't be busier and better as Simon's reputation is fast-growing as one to watch, being proven by current residencies at a number of the UK's acclaimed underground House nights including Asylum @ Mint Club, Leeds and Deep, Down & Dirty @ The Key, London.

Simon is one half of Leeds highly rated production duo alongside Alex Grzybowski, 'The Liptrick', signed to Ralph Lawson's 20:20 Recordings. 2004 saw the release of their critically acclaimed 'Liptrick EP', firstly as a white label which found it's way into the bags of Tiefschwarz, Damian Lazarus and Dan Ghenacia to name a few. Ralph then signed The Liptrick in an album deal beginning with the official release of 'The Liptrick' EP, backed with a brand new track, 'Dry Riser'. Simon and Alex have just completed the eagerly anticipated follow-up, which has had a huge response - Smack The Rat EP and receiving Top Tune of the month award in IDJ.

As if this isn't enough, Simon has been working on solo material, which has been released on his new label, INFANT RECORDS. Infant is an imprint of 2020 Recordings and the first release debuted Simon's solo sound. Entitled Simon Baker presents 'Footprints EP', it was launched at the Sonar electronic music festival in June 2005. The reactions have been tremendous, with Radio 1 plays from Pete Tong and Steve Lawler (Essential Mix) as well as 4/5 in both DJ and IDJ magazine, amongst others. Simon also has other releases U.S label Sugarcane records. Phonique and Phongenic remixing his track 'Catch Up'. There is also Infant 004 with no other than Paul Woolford remixing.
