Born before Disco existed, Paul has seen UK club culture take many an twist and turn. Back in the 80's he would visit clubs in Leeds and Manchester, most notably the Hacienda. In '92 Cream opened in his home city of Liverpool. The early years of Cream (particularly witnessing Todd Terry) cemented his love of house music. In 2004 he setup Outlar.com, a non-profit website to promote and support the more underground clubs and DJ's in his home town of Liverpool.

In 2006, Paul finally decided to take up DJ'ing. Inspiration came initially from the new wave of deep house coming from German producers Henrik Schwarz, Âme and Dixon. Since then he has taken on house of all flavours. Other DJ's and producers that inspired him include Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard, Theo Parrish, Derrick Carter, Moodymann, Chez Damier and I:Cube.

Today his music selection is more eclectic, with the Disco of his childhood making a big appearance thanks to influences from Horse Meat Disco, Prins Thomas, Maurice Fulton, Tensnake, and Todd Terje. His current favourite labels include Innervisions, FXHE, Versatile, Delusions of Grandeur, DFA, Permanent Vacation, and Compost Records.

Paul has played regularly throughout his home city at clubs such as Chibuku, Circus, Geisha, Aztec, Freeze, Pigeonhole Disco, and many others.
