Phil had a passion for dance music from an early age - sparked from listening to the remixes on singles of popular music in the late 90's.

Phil started DJ-ing by attending two-two hour sessions at a DJ school advertised in the local paper, taught by DJ Conrad, but due to short numbers the company discontinued the course. Phil decided to set about teaching himself and at the age of 16 bought himself the belt driven "Numark Starter Kit" to become a bedroom DJ.

At the age of 19 he gained his first set of professional gigs, spinning the wheels and rocking the clubbers for several nights at his university bar, Student Union bar The Cooler and at Hannahs Bar. Some of these gigs were part of his Student Radio Stations parties.

Phil has gained regular slots at what was then Dish Café and 3345 he has also rocked the dance floor at what was Heart and Soul, Baa Bar and the original Picket venue. Phil was Runner up last year in the Revolution Bars DJ Competition. Phil also became resident warm-up DJ for Soul Food at Bumper playing music which was outside of his usual `house music' record bag and warming up for the likes of Christian McBride, Paul McGuire, Alex Sweeney and Tane.

At 21 (and with a set of Technics 1210's), Phil had also recorded a mix CD at Online Studios in London, and has DJ'd as far away as Philadelphia on several occasions.

Phil has also played in the Main Room at Magnet for Fusion alongside Cler Lever & Alex Sweeney, and has played at The Dragon Bar alongside Nick The Greek and Leo Belchetz for Bommynite Music.

Phil's mixes are an exciting mix of house music from soulful and deep right through to upfront electro.

Phil's influences include Lewis Boardman, "Little" Louie Vega, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Erol Alkan, John Digweed, Sasha, Felix Da Housecat and many more.
