The original Cavern Club was demolished in the early 1970s due to work taking place on the underground rail system. Todays Cavern Club is a reconstructed version, built using the original bricks, and is still as popular as ever. With indie nights, student nights and live bands, the club is packed to the rafters nearly every night of the week and most of the time its free to get in.
